Visionary Paintings

A painting of an actual vision I had in 1997. Lying awake late at night, I saw hands hold up a bronze tablet bearing a spiral engraving of animals. I heard an incantation, possibly in a Native American Language, and then a voice said “prepare to teleport.” Everything went black except for a luminous number six, and I found myself in a bare chamber whose walls glowed slightly, hearing humming machinery. Suddenly waves of energy coursed through my body. Everything went black, and I came to in my own room. I have painted this vision as animal creation spiraling up out of the waters of chaos, held by the hands of the Creator and led by the dove of peace.

A painting in Medieval Celtic style, based on the sorrowful and joyful mysteries of the Rosary which are depicted in the large round “beads.” Watercoolor, done in 1981.
